2022 Primary- A Message From The Glynn County Republican Party Chairman

Glynn Republicans,

Congratulations to the winners for a long hard fought general primary in all of the races. Statewide & local.

Also want to acknowledge the full slate of candidates that ran. Win or lose, it takes hard work, dedication and drive to put oneself “out there” for months. We are blessed with having good choices and the opportunity to evaluate and ultimately select our representatives.

Thank you to everyone for helping turn out the vote. We had approximately 13,000 republicans vote in the Governor’s race. This equals 1/2 of the Trump turn-out in Nov 2020. Big turnout, approximately 50% for GOP. Very good for a primary.

Special thanks as always to the Board of Elections, the staff, poll workers and volunteers. The Glynn polls ran smoothly as we heard of no incidents.

Our democracy requires these three elements – Candidates with supportive family & friends willing to run, an election system that is designed and backed by honest, passionate workers & volunteers and voters that care enough to show up.

The GlynnGOP touches each of these elements and we have lots more work to do to grow our conservative base and keep Glynn County & Georgia Red !

GlynnGOP immediate goals:
Help support the campaigns of the (2) local run-offs which is on June 21. These are Ga House District 179 and Ga Senate District 3 seats.

We must then pivot quickly to get behind Gov Kemp & Herschel Walker. Our state is being attacked by immense outside pressure. From blue states like New York & California.

Locally, we must get out support too for David Sweat and Bo Clark for the Board of. Commissioners. We must keep our BOC predominately conservative.

GlynnGOP would like to co-sponsor a run-off candidate forum of the (2) races, with the GOP womens clubs. We’re working on the date & venue. Stay tuned !

On behalf of the GlynnGOP Executive Council, thank you all again.

Patrick Duncan, Glynn County Republican Party Chairman
